In honor of the World War I Doughboy Soldier, Fort Benning Soldiers built a stadiumwith money out of their own pockets to honor their own. In 1925, the Blue Tide Teamtook on local colleges for five decades but eventually disbanded after troops wereshipped off to fight in the Vietnam War.
